Let’s just take a moment to stare at this gorgeous little compact of goodness. Done? Now stare at it again. Are you salivating yet?
I adore highlighters, practically drawn to them like a moth to a candle. Other girls have their blush addiction, lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes (ok I love those too) but highlighters have a special place in my heart.
I’ve been meaning to try Becca products for awhile, ever since Lisa Eldridge espoused her favourite shimmering skin perfecter in Opal for that radiant lit from within glow. However even though Becca is an Australian brand, its prices are still at a high mark-up (case in point, this compact retails at AUD$60 compared to USD$38- outrageous!)
Rosegold is a limited edition offering and only available in the pressed compact version (the three permanent shades Opal, Topaz and Pearl are also present in the original liquid form). The compact is a solid rubberized casing with a full size mirror inside.
The shade is like the blush of a sunset, just a hint of rosiness with a warm glow. The powder is very finely milled, so soft that it is a blend between powder and cream, with a geometric pattern over the top that is making me squirm to destroy through usage.
On fair skin there will be a noticeable peachy colour but on my skin it’s more of a warm sheen with fine shimmer. I like using my Real Techniques contour brush with it. A light dusting is enough to get that radiant look. The swatch is one layer and doesn’t really do justice with how pretty the shade is.
Becca is cruelty free and its products are formulated without parabens. The rosegold compact is still available at selected Becca counters including David Jones.
