In the tube, Mac’s See Sheer looks pretty ordinary, it is not usually the sort of colour I’d instantly gravitate towards being the lover of bright and pigmented shades! Then I saw Estee from Essiebutton review her top five MAC lipsticks and See Sheer was included and it looked absolutely stunning on the lips.
In the bullet it looks like a creamy neutral pink however it swatches as a light peachy coral, very wearable, almost like a brightening nude. There is some undertone of red and it may pull that way on some people.
It is anything but sheer, there is some translucency but I’m able to get a near opaque coverage with one swipe. It’s a lustre finish with no shimmer or sparkles, so it goes on creamy and feels smooth and sort of balmy, it is actually one of the more hydrating formulas I’ve tried. It lasts quite well but does not sustain through food.
I think this would be a great alternative for those of you looking for a nice work or school-appropriate lippie. I’m really just loving throwing this on at the moment with a light face base, some highlight and contouring and mascara, keeping it quite natural and glowy.
