Our good friends at Enavose have done it again with another award-winning product, and were kind enough to send us a sample to show just why it was listed as one of Style Magazine’s Best Beauty Buys 2011 and won the Best Cellular Youth Protection title in the CozyCot Holy Grail Awards 2011.

Let me introduce you all to Enavose Cellogist Youth Guard Cream.

This 30ml bottle of facial cream is winning me over already, and after the jump I’ll tell you why 🙂

I’ve already written at length about rising Swiss brand Enavose and how great it is in a previous entry, so I will leap head first into the product review this time around 🙂

Formulation: Enavose has really gone out of its way formulating this anti-ageing solution. So much technology has gone into making this product, and here’s a short rundown:

Expertly concocted to nourish skin from deep within, the cream bolsters skin’s natural restorative mechanism and effectively fights against environmental and internal stresses that are responsible for premature ageing. A powerhouse antioxidant trio of Rice, Pomegranate and Resveratrol works in synergistic harmony with our exclusive technology to rejuvenate, firm, hydrate and restore collagen production.

This product employs the use of Cellogist Cosmeceutical’s Proprietary CS-IT which is powered by TeloMax – a superb age-defence active that delves deep into skin’s core – and synergised with InterCell System, a foremost encapsulation technology that promotes greater penetration to cross barriers in skin. To achieve enduring youth, CS-IT targets the core of ageing right where it matters most. (For more on the science behind Enavose’s Cosmaceutical technology, click here)

Active ingredients in Cellogist Youth Guard Cream include Telomax, Resveratrol, Rice, Pomegranate, and Sodium Hyaluronate, Vitamin A, Argan Oil, Hibiscus Flower Extract, Sweet Almond Oil, and Shea Butter.

Scent: Non-intrusive, mild, pleasant. Smells all-natural 🙂 No complaints here.

Packaging: Basic, clean and practical. Youth Guard comes in a small, plastic, capped pump bottle with a twist-to-unlock pump. It’s light but sturdy.

Texture: I initially thought that this thick, white cream would end up a little too rich for my oily skin, but it’s not impossible to use. I use only half a pump for my entire face, and make sure to warm the cream nicely in the palms of my hands before spreading evenly across the face in gentle upward-and-outward strokes. Surprisingly for a cream of this density, it absorbs really quickly and effectively with no sticky or greasy residue. So oily-skinned folks can use this too, just go easy on the dosage and apply with care 🙂 (This is hardly a con, as half a pump per use means lots of product saved!)

Performance (thus far): It’s only been a few days, but I do like this cream. The first morning after application, my skin looked surprisingly bright, fresh and happy (save for the blemishes that were already there and still inflamed or in the process of healing). I’m not one to immediately take this as a miracle solution though, so I have since continued using this cream twice a day. So far, all is good. My skin definitely looks and feels better overall – smoother, redness and unevenness has been visibly reduced, and I am compelled to keep using this stuff for as long as the bottle lasts to see how much better my skin gets with prolonged use.

Youth Guard is part of Enavose’s Cellogist range, which boasts eight benefits:

  1. Helps reduce wrinkles and fine lines
  2. Helps improve skin collagen density and elasticity
  3. Helps reduce sun and age spots
  4. Helps increase epidermal moisture levels
  5. Boosts radiance and glow
  6. Refines pore appearance
  7. Softens and smoothens skin texture
  8. Strengthens skin resistance and defence to external pollutants

Disclaimer #1: This product was provided to us for review. belle demoiselle operates on a total honesty policy, and only our truest opinions and experiences are reflected in our writing :)

Disclaimer #2: This review has been marked as preliminary because I have only been using this product for less than a week, which I don’t think is enough time to remark comprehensively on its efficacy. I will be putting up a follow-up review in about two to three weeks’ time, so keep your eyes peeled for that 🙂
