Black Label is the luxury line of NYX’s lipstick range. They retail at US$7.50 and I got them for about US$5 on sale.
Lots more after the jump!
The website states:
A creamy, dreamy lipstick with a velvety smooth finish and hyper-glamorous shades for every look and every inclination. NYX’s Black Label Lipstick has rich emollient properties that ensures the color glides on and hydrates your pout at the same time. From Extreme Red to Earthy to Frosted Pink, Black Label Lipstick is available in 96 lipsmacking hues.
Ingredients include: Ceresin Wax, Microcrystalline wax, Candelilla wax, Isopropyl Mynstate, 12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Squalane, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Ethylhexyl palmitate, BHA, Propyl Paraben, Iron Oxide, Pigment.
The lipsticks are packaged in a rectangular casing with a dark granite cover with a lace overlay and a clear bottom showing the colour. They’re still plastic but sturdier than the round lipstick line. The scent is subtler but still sweet with a hint of muskiness.
What I love about these are that they can be applied sheerly or layered for a stronger colour and looks fantastic either way. The texture is light and smooth and feels great on the lips. The wear is much better, going for 5+ hours but still not very long lasting if you’re expecting 8-12 hours. For everyday wear I like to dab on the lipstick lightly for a wash of colour.
These tend to have a satin finish, any shimmer is more fine and less frosty than the round lipsticks, another big plus.
