GIVEAWAY ALERT! BIORE MAKEUP REMOVER FOR EYE AND LIP – READ ON TO FIND OUT!
You know it’s nearing Christmas when there are giveaways galore. Anyhoo before getting on to the giveaway, let me share my review on the Biore Makeup Remover for Eye and Lip.
The Biore Makeup Remover for Eye and Lip is relatively new to our markets – I’ve been trying to find the prices by shopping at Guardian to no avail, but I believe it’s more widely available now. Biore’s Makeup Remover is a bi-phase remover, which means it’s oil-based and you have to shake it to mix the oil and water all up to remove your eye and lip makeup. I found that there were micro sparkles when I shook it – that brought a silly grin to my face as images of sparkling vampires came into my mind. See what happens after a hard day of work?
The product description release provided by Biore/Kao states that the formula is gentle for the eyes, which reduces the need for excessive wiping and also contains hyaluronic acid moisturizing ingredients to keep the skin around the eyes moist. It apparently does not leave any oily residue.
Those of you following belle would know by now that I swear by Mandom’s Cleansing Express which has been reviewed twice. Sometimes though, I don’t find it as efficient at removing eye makeup, so I tend to go for my sample bottles of bi-phase removers. When I tried the Biore Makeup Remover, I found that I only needed to wipe twice to remove all my mascara and eyeshadow, which was pretty good for me considering that I use smudge-proof mascara, eyeliner, primer and shimmery eyeshadows.
It also did not sting my eyes, but if I got a bit of it underneath my eyelids, I obviously had blurry vision but nothing too serious. The part about this product not leaving an oily residue is a little dubious because it is a bi-phase remover, so there was a slight oiliness. I found this to be a little oilier than Clinique’s Take the Day Off remover but more effective at removing all traces of eye makeup. I did not detect any discernible fragrance which was a big win for me.
I would definitely repurchase this product because it’s quite affordable at RM29.90 for 130ml. I like that it’s dermatologically- and ophthalmologically-tested, which means it should not irritate your skin or vision. While some of you may be surprised that it is slightly more expensive that other drug-store brands, I found I used less product because it was so efficient at removing my eye makeup, as opposed to having to wet at least 3-4 cotton pads with product to remove everything. You can get this at most pharmacies and Sasa stores nationwide.
