Hey ladies, this will be a very quick post. Be warned, gushing up ahead.

Those who have been reading belledemoiselle will be quite familiar with the public secret that is my love for almost all things Bobbi Brown. So when I chanced upon her oh-so-lovely Pretty Powerful Palettes, I had to trot over and take a closer look.

Bobbi has just introduced her limited edition Pretty Powerful Collection, which consists of two palettes – aptly named the Pretty Face Palette and the Powerful Face Palette, her Extreme Party Mascara, and her famous Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner (previously gushed about here).

What I really love about this collection is the two palettes, of course. More photos after the jump!

The Pretty Face Palette is designed for light to medium-toned complexions, and includes four eyeshadows (on the left), a blush (in the middle) and two lip glosses plus one lip colour (on the right) in ultra-feminine, soft hues of pink to create a healthy, happy, natural look. Although the colours look quite bright in the photo above, I swiped them at a Bobbi counter recently and was very pleased with the colour payoff of the eyeshadows and blush especially: not too bright, not flaky or powdery, glided on smoothly, and looked utterly lovely.

Meanwhile, the Powerful Face Palette (also with four shadows, a blush, two lip glosses and a lip colour) is meant to flatter medium to deep skin tones. Although I wouldn’t be able to pull off these shades as well as I think I could the Pretty Palette’s offerings, I reckon girls who rock shades of plum (yes, I’m looking at you, Eli of So Loverly!) would adore this palette. Even looking at the photo, one can tell there is so much potential for creating some smouldering dark plum-shaded eyes looks in those eyeshadows!

Looking at this collection, I get a strong feeling that Bobbi designed these palettes with a specific target demographic (even the packaging is a giveaway) – my best estimate is women between the ages of 16 and 30 who want a palette that is versatile, flattering, easy to tote about on the go, easy to use, and quality assured. I, for one, think these palettes check all those boxes with ease.

The Pretty and Powerful Face Palettes retail in the United States at USD 60 a pop. Will double-check on prices in Singapore and Malaysia and update soon!

PS: Sorry, no review on the Extreme Party Mascara just yet – haven’t had the chance to properly examine it!
